UHMW
Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene is an extremely high abrasion resistant material. The molecular weights range between 3.1 to 5.67 million.
UHMW resembles other polyethylenes in superficial characteristics such as texture, color, stiffness, weight and general apperance, but
UHMW is superior in physical and mechanical strength.
UHMW will not encourage growth of bacteria or fungus, is self-lubricating, and it meets FDA requirements for direct food contact. It also
meets USDA requirements in specific applications.

Ramex® RP, Ramex® VR and Ramex® EX UHMW-PE are used extensively in lining systems for dump trailers. The low friction and non-stick properties of Ramex® promote the flow of bulk materials, eliminating the need for clean-outs and permitting the trailer to be dumped at under 1/2 the normal height, which minimizes tip-overs. Ramex® stays slippery year round and with even the stickiest materials, which increases the number of loads that can be hauled every day. The exceptional abrasion resistance and toughness protect the aluminum or steel dump trailer floor, which extends the life of the trailer. In bulk material handling applications, Ramex® UHMW-PE improves efficiency and extends the life of equipment.
