Welding Rod - Polyethylene, Polypropylene, PVC

Polyethylene welding rods are available in both low and high densities. The low density rods are strong, flexible, and offer excellent chemical resistance in low heat applications. The same chemical resistance is found in high density polyethylene welding rods combined with extra hardness, rigidity and a greater softening temperature. High density polyethylene cleans easily and is FDA approved for direct food contact.

Polypropylene welding rods exhibit outstanding stress crack resistance, excellent chemical and electrical properties and have a temperature limit higher than that of polyethylene. Polypropylene is used in a variety of harsh environments ranging from hospital laboratory ducts to chemical treatment plant tanks.

Perhaps most commonly used for industrial systems are the PVC welding rods. These are economical, corrosion-resistant and self-extinguishing, as well as good thermal and electrical insulators.
